"7 Ways to Leave Your Clutter"
by Barbara Myers

Everyone has some degree of clutter lurking at home. When you're tired
of moving it around, stepping over it, and losing important items in
it, it's time to take control of the clutter. What should you do with
it? You have seven options:

1. Dispose of it. Much of clutter is trash you either thought you
would need or figured you'd throw out later.

2. Put it away. about half of the remaining clutter in most homes
consists of items that simply haven't been put away. Fill a laundry
basket then deliver the items to their proper rooms. avoid this
clutter trap by making things easy to put away and by enforcing a
family "use it and put it away" rule.

3. Donate it. if you don't use it, it's not a treasured decorative
item or memento, and it's not a important piece of paper, get rid of
it. Pass it along to someone who can use it.

4. Refer it. the novel you've been saving for Debbie, the recipe you
copied for Aunt Jan and the gloves borrowed from Mom need to be sent or
delivered to their rightful owners. Gather them and make your rounds
tomorrow

5. File it. Set up a "hold" file for wedding invitations and concert
tickets (after you note them in your calendar). Set up a "to file"
file for all important papers.

6. Fix it or have it repaired today. Those buttons aren't
going to sew themselves. Either mend them or take them to a
seamstress. The same goes for the broken toys, watches and
electronics.

7. Give it a home. Everything else is something that belongs in your
home but you don't know what to do with it. Where DO you put extra
batteries and your kids' artwork? Designate a permanent place in your
home for each group of items you find in a clutter pile. Simplify by
making a list of items and where they belong.

Tips of the Month
December 2011

o Take a few minutes to input names and addresses into your computer
so you can print out labels for cards. Better yet, have one of your
kids do it. Save it as "Christmas card list," tweak it yearly, and
save yourself lots of time.

o Set up a paper processing system this month. Begin with a portable
file box. Set up files such as "bills to pay" "computer work" and
"refer to spouse." Sort papers into the box as you open mail. Read
some more paper tips now.

o Keep your kitchen counters clean during the holidays by taking a
few minutes before bed each evening to clear the clutter. Leave only
items that you use daily on the counters.

o Set up a family donation box. Sometime before opening gifts this
month, have each household member drop five items into the box that
they no longer use or wear but are nice enough that they can be
donated. Then, take the box to your local shelter or Salvation Army
and donate it. Happy Holidays!

o Make a donation to your local food pantry this month. Skip a fast
food meal and share the money you would have spent with someone who may
skip a meal without your kindness.

o Go through your coat closet(s) in December. Keep someone warm by
donating any that you didn't wear last year.

o Don't stress during the holidays because of accumulated
clutter...that's what January is for!

Find other ZORGIUM pages using your favorite search engine:

Enter your search keyword(s) and the keyword "zorgium" into the search input field of http://bing.com, http://yahoo.com or http://google.com.

Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.

ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
